time to try rhodiola rosea?

After a bad period in winter in NZ my husband is doing extremely well at the moment. The only additions I have made to his regime that he has been on for a couple of years is to add rhodiola rosea and Carlson elite dha.

It’s like a lightbulb has turned on for energy, mood and motivation and he has been rushing around organising things and doing many household chores again. I think in most respects he is in a much better state than he was in when diagnosed. Certainly much better than he has been several times in the last few years.

Just be aware it might interact with meds so watch for overdosing symptoms. Maybe try taking 1/2 capsule for a few days just in case.

My 22 year old son who we think has adhd and ocd is also now taking the rhodiola and the Hardys den as my husband has, plus he is taking B1and has gone from failing to complete uni subjects to getting A+ for the ones he did this years. I think it’s a winning combo.

I think rhodiola is an adaptogen. It helped me when I was going through a stressful time.

it’s had a remarkable effect on my son who gets very stressed.

He took it a while then suddenly stopped as he thought he was better but got worse again after a while. So he’s back on it and back to coping and achieving again.

Hi, very interesting, thanks for posting this! What dose of rhodiola are your husband and son using and when are they taking it (i.e. first thing on an empty stomach or maybe later with food)?

They both take 1 of the above brand first thing in the morning.

Great, thank you! Sorry, I meant to ask about the fish oil as well - when and how much?

Hubby takes 4.5 ml per day. I think the amount Laurie Mischley recommends.

He takes with food. It doesn’t taste bad but is oily so can stomach it best with food and in middle of day ie not breakfast
