I was doing winter dipping in the sea with my wife but found that I was so slow drying myself and getting dressed that it was having an adverse effect. If you were using an ice bath and had a hot spa pool to get into, it may be beneficial.

However the exercise and dexterity gained by the action of drying might actually be helpful if counted as an exercise therapy?

I testify that a 30-second cold rinse when showering after sauna blanket defo seems to boost vitality and leaves a palpable afterglow. (According to Huberman, boosts dopamine and brown fat). YMMV.

What if lean body and very little brown fat?

Inspirational would be an understatement! Thank you for posting.

Beautiful video. Does anyone know how long the effects of a cold plunge/therapy would last off of one plunge? Hours?

I had suggested trying this to my husband with Parkinson’s (HWP) since it does sound very encouraging but it was quickly vetoed. Unfortunately temperature disregulation is one of his symptoms, so he now does his best to avoid getting cold since cold increases tremor for him and it takes him so long to warm up again, often relying on a hot shower if necessary. Glad this is not the case for most people with Parkinson’s.
