Has anyone done an h.pylori test, if so, was it useful, and how was it treated?

It was a game changer for me. I was taking C/L with no symptomatic improvement . My wife was dx with H-pylori so I got tested. The test consisted of drinking a lemonade type solution and blowing into a bag.. once I found out I was + I took some pills over several days. I tried C/L again and I experienced my first "on" period. Freezing went away, gait improved, no more falls, I could get out of a car or a chair just to name a few. Google parkinson's and H-pylori.

I don't recall the name of the pills I took for from 7to10 days. I will check my medical records for a name. My pcp didn't offer the stool sample. I'm not sure if one is better than the other. Before the H-pylori treatment C/L pills would only make me nausea and sleepy. I tried C/L off and on for over a year and it didn't work for me until I treated the H-pylori.

My wife with PD asked her GP about it last week (at my suggestion thanks to reading an earlier comment recently by @bigl62). He sent her home with a stool sample kit but she hasn't done it yet. C/L has very minimal benefit for her, so we'll see if she tests positive and if so if eradicating h pylori helps her.
