I wouldn't volunteer any info, but don't lie on a health inquiry.

I did not disclose during an interview, because to an untrained eye, I could look fairly normal at that stage. I got the job and had to attend a lengthy induction. During the proceedings I forgot about my meds and while in a clerical part of the induction my tremor became noticeable. I was accused of drinking while on lunch, something that really wouldn't be acceptable for the role. In a panic had to disclose my diagnosis, they were fairly sympathetic, but had to risk assess. I did keep the job, but I feel it hurt my credibility.

I guess I would suggest it depends on your symptoms and if you think it would prevent you getting the job. Some have suggested to me that it may be an advantage in some situations but I have not tried to levy this. If you are going to need adjustments or extra time for appointments it may be more honest to disclose, but again it may be better to get the job and pass any trial periods and see how it goes.

I was very much in the latter camp, but it's also stressful hiding your symptoms. It's a tough question, with a lot of personal variables. Sorry that's not really an answer, just my experience.

If your circumstances require you to work, I would try for a work from home job. If that’s not possible I would get the job first and then disclose when it is getting obvious. No one needs to know the date of your diagnosis.

That's a really good question that's already came up in my life, I have a friend that is a corporate lawyer in Missouri and they suggested that until it affects my job duties, to not disclose the information.

In my previous job I mentioned my diagnosis after receiving the offer and I was a mistake because they spent the next two years trying to make me resign, when I didn’t they let me go saying my position is cancelled to avoid law suites.
