Oh well as one door is slammed in my face, another one opens I guess.....I`m in the process of filling out another application form for a similar job...so fingers crossed

Sorry you didn't get that job. Something better will come along, have faith and keep trying. I admire your positive attitude. You are a special man, Andy.
People like Andy and other PWP have to deal with some important issues. First of all we have to deal with our handicap. Having Parkinsons is a handicap. We have to brush this fact aside in order to go forward with our lives. We know that we are still normal. We know that we need to work in order to survive. But we are handicapped. On top of that we have to deal with The State of The Job Market. Employers will discriminate and use denial as a defense. In the end we are faced with a struggle to compete in a world that pretends that we don't exist.
Keep job hunting for as long as you are physically able. I am on the other end, it was very, very difficult to give up my job that I loved when I felt that I was no longer able to continue working. Big loss of part of my identity, I had been a teacher for 18 years. Now, 4 years later, I'm now doing ok that way, find lots I can do but it was a long road. Good luck to everyone who is still able to work!
