Can We Put the Brakes on Parkinson’s Progression?
In reviewing the article, I have to agree. I do what they recommend and a bit more (suppliments) and have been documented in a 2 year study as improving. I exercise 5+ or more per week, sauna therapy, time restricted eating, fasting and I eat a very restricted lectin free diet. I have for the most part eliminated my iRBD as confirmed by sleep tracker and motion sensor camera. Note, I am in the prodromal phase (iRBD - constipation - orthostatic hypotension - loss of smell - some minor memory issues - three strokes - one subarachnoid hemorrhage). My diet is like a Mediterranean diet on steroids. So to answer the question can we stop the progression of PD. I have while in the prodromal phase as confirmed by a 2 years longitudinal study as the University of FLorida. From their before and after test, they confirmed I IMPROVED over the two year period contrary to their hypothesis that those suffering from iRBD would slowly phenoconvert towards PD. They wanted to see a decline. Now the time period might have been to short, but maybe not. Maybe what I am doing is effective. My focus has been on improving my gut health and it might be working. The better my sleep record the better I feel. I do believe iRBD is indictive of prodromal PD and the subsequent control is impactful. input is appreciated and I am willing to share what I know
Thanks, a handy summary.
Yes. Very definitely. I have had PD for more years than I can remember.
I have managed to overcome it and have lived a normal life for many years now.
I did it by regularly doing FAST WALKING for one hour, every second day.
