“Our studies show that multiple pathways are perturbed in the disease and so we think that rescuing multiple pathways at once is essential for disease modification.”

“We’re not saying that [alpha-synuclein aggregation] is not important, but we’re showing that there are other proteins and RNA inclusions involved in Parkinson’s pathogenesis that we haven’t seen before.”

Quite technical in parts, but I think some will find this recent PNT article very interesting.

Something tells me that, due to the complexity of cellular life, we should not play with RNA without knowing well all the numerous ramifications that can occur when basic building blocks like DNA /RNA are altered.

Good stuff. Agreed technical in parts. It makes sense to me that multiple cell systems are affected and hopefully scientists will find the subgroups and defective cellular paths associated with them.
