hmmm… I think I had PD at least 7 relatively blissful years before I knew what was wrong with me (no tremors). What’s the benefit of knowing?

A valuable development. Considering the progress in PD treatment, with growing understanding and potential to slow down or even stop the disease, though without a cure, it becomes crucial to focus on early prediction and diagnosis to prevent further damage. Indeed ‘We cannot regrow our brain cells and therefore we need to protect those that we have’. Imagine how different my life would be if I had only started at an early stage with a simple B-complex and better sleep regime…. It's always better to prevent than to cure.

After symptoms start and some type of therapy be begins, could another blood test perhaps show lighter concentrations of proteins, meaning progression is slowing?? Just a thought...

Wow, this makes me wonder what I would have done differently had I known 10 years ago. This is a great hope on one level and a big fear on another, eh?
