The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-approved device targets photoreceptors in the eye responsible for circadian signalling. Research has shown that Parkinson’s disease can damage the retina and impact the circadian system leading to symptoms such as trouble sleeping, cognition, depression, and fatigue.
The six-month trial will assess the non-invasive device in 300 patients with Parkinson’s, which can be used during usual evening activities. Celeste showed improvements in non-motor symptoms, and in the quality of life for Parkinson’s patients in previous clinical trials, such as the LIGHT-PD trial (NCT04453033) according to PhotoPharmics’s chief scientific officer Dan Adams.
I didn’t know that PD could cause eye problems. I need to look into this. My MD Neurologist and my Ophthalmologist specialist have not said a word to me about this. Great, I happen to have normal tension glacoma or NTG.
Nitro53 . I would not panic yet. As far as I know, Parkinson's is represented by deceased rate of blinking and that results in dry eyes which of course requires dry eye treatment drops.
I get an annual retina check at Stanford University Hospital and I was never told that Parkinson's causes retina problems.
Yet another case of scientists chasing a mirage in order to pursue a funded study for $$$.

I signed hubby up but it said he didn’t qualify (maybe because I checked no to the will be on a stable dose of levodopa for the next 6 months?? Not sure)
I’ve been using red lights on the brain light therapy for over 2 years on and off although I cannot say definitely that it slows my Parkinson’s, I can say I was diagnosed 7 years ago and I’m doing pretty good
