There’s quiet but confident hope for a breakthrough treatment for Parkinson’s disease, following a successful drug trial in Australia.
It ticked two boxes when it comes to treating the debilitating degenerative disease: Improved patient symptoms and it stopped the progression of Parkinson’s.
Still a long way to go but at least it got through phase 1 of human testing.

I wonder if the same applies to iron? I have read there is also excess iron in the brain but perhaps this too is deficient in the cells of the brain?
"CuATSM is a small synthetic molecule that contains copper. ..developed in Japan as an imaging agent for hypoxic tissues, based on finding that CuATSM selectively delivers copper to hypoxic tissues, but not normal tissues.
