Having used vCR gloves for the last couple of months, I realized a few things, most importantly: (1) the gloves work and help to reduce PD symptoms. (2) in order to do that, they have to be worn for a long time, several hours every day, over many months.
These two points combined also mean that I will continue to wear the gloves for long periods in the future, possibly for the rest of my life. To that end, these gloves should be much more practical than the ones used in the previous trials by Peter Tass / Synergic or most of the DIY models discussed on this forum. So I thought it may be interesting to start a wishlist of the features that vCR glove users would like to have (and that perhaps would also encourage them to use their gloves as much as possible)?
For starters, the gloves should be untethered and fully mobile, i.e., come with their own rechargeable, long-lasting battery supply.
Likewise, the glove controller should be mobile, and ideally not just control and record the parameters and duration of stimulation sessions, but also integrate this information with health apps on wearable devices that monitor potential changes in symptoms. The most straightforward way to implement this would be to have the controller as an app on your smart phone or smart watch.
Moreover, given that the gloves have to be worn for such long periods every day, they should be more compatible with manipulating objects, typing, using touchscreens, etc., than the current models.
So, what are the features that you would like to see in your next-generation gloves?
