I've been working to build a set of vibrotactile gloves for treatment of Parkinson' symptoms for my wife to use. I followed the instructions presented by TactileDesign and found the procedure to be the simplest and easiest way to build a set of gloves. I spent about 30 hours and ended up with a perfectly functional set of gloves that work as expected.
After getting the gloves assembled, I began investigating better ways to build the tactors and have made modificaitons to the design presented by TactileDesign. The tactors I built followed a model presented by Neurosmith. I modified Neurosmith's model using Tinkercad and developed the tactor housing shown here. The parts for the tactor housing need to be printed on a 3D printer. Other components used are an LRA model VLV-101040A from Digikey, ½" tubular nylon webbing and velstretch elastic velcro band from Seattle Fabrics. There is some sticky-back velcro in use in this prototype as well. I can provide more detail if anyone is interested.

I will be posting a document that describes all of what I've been doing to build vibrotactile gloves. That post should be coming soon. The delay is becasue I'm in the process of building a set of gloves that I think will work better than the set I've already built and tested. As soon as I get the new set up and running, I'll provide instructions and details. In the meantime, here is a photo of the first set of gloves I built. Sorry for the delayed response.
Dear Wildside, please could you share the link to instructions you used? Also if you can say at what point you changes tac and share the new modifications I would be most grateful. Well done on your building project!

Dear Mike, no problem! It’s very kind of you to share your hard work and knowledge accrued in the process. I look forward to seeing the instructions when they are ready. 🤩
thank you for sharing this. Can you please provide the file that can be used with a 3-D printer along with any other links or parts list that you think would be helpful. Thank you so much.

Hi my friend yes that would be great thank you so much for the email and I hope you’re successful with your project and I will be your first customer if you find a solution to this dreadful disease kind regards stag
Hi Stag10, if I were to manufacture and sell these gloves, I'd be opening a Pandora's Box of liability that includes not only violations of patent law but also would involve issues of practicing medicine without a license. Once the FDA (if it still exists after Musk gets done with the great purge) approves the gloves following the completion of ongoing testing, the gloves will probably become commercially available. I'm no expert, but that could happen as soon as 2028.
Well if you want to go ahead and do me a pair and I will pay for the materials and we do it as a research then we won’t be break in no rules I’d be very happy kind regards stag
