Came across this device (vibrating shoes) on a YouTube video. Has anyone tried these yet. Reqsonably expensive @ $1,300, but worth it if they work.

very interesting Delaraysbest

If I have to wear something vibrant I would choose shoes like these. Much more stable and comfortable than a pair of flying gloves.

We bought them recently for my husband. I will explain in a few hours, just busy at present. So we bought them back in December arrived in January due to time of year with Xmas breaks. My husband tried them on. They were unfortunately too small but he took the insole out and they were better but that surprised me that something of this price wasn't really tailor made to the foot dimensions we sent them. I think it's fair to say these guys are a 'software' company not a shoe company. We met them on Zoom a few times and they were slick. We really liked the way they came across and they stood by their words and everything was good overall from start to finish, and also sending the shoes back.

The problem for us - my husband doesn't have a gait issue - he has a falls issue. When he stops walking, or starts walking, he gets stuck, he goes up on tippy toe, he spins, he loses balance. Feet are always together instead of apart, no stability when standing still and down he goes - multiple times. The shoes vibrated many different programs - heel on, heel off, swing, and about 5 other programs. They do make you think of your feet when they vibrate so if you have no falls issue just gait issue, then I really think they should be tried. He walked well in them, as he does in his other shoes - BUT the same issue happens when he changed the shoes. Nothing. The falls kept occurring. So for us no good. It was a shame as we had high hopes.

Were you able to return the shoes?

Yes absolutely. You get 30 days to return. Refund is less 20% of what you paid. There were no issues.

You feel that the shoes didn't help with FOG at all then? I have problems with FOG when starting to walk, so am wondering if they are going to be any benefit for me. I have managed to overcome the going up onto tippy toes by just slowing down and being exceptionally mindful of not doing this. I find lifting my toes and walking with heel toe gait, and rememberign how much it hurts my knees when I fall over helps prevent me going onto tippy toes. :)

I am thinking of ordering the shoes but don't want to be disappointed! Any advice welcome!

The freezing or going up onto tippy toe it did not help with the shoes. My husband wears knee pads and it has prevented any damage so far. ABSOLUTELY slower heel toe walking and being INTENT on thinking of the walking prevents more falls for my husband. BUT the problem is - THINKING that way for longer than a few metres does not seem to happen. As soon as something catches his attention away from walking, then the next time he stops he will be potentially down on the ground.

I feel these shoes are great for people who need their 'gait' issues sorted, I just know it didn't help at all with keeping my husband upright. Hope that helps.
