Thanks for posting. What an annoying site, though, with all the ads. I read this article to respond, but won't be reading anything else on the site.
I was told and/or read years ago that D3 is the one you want to supplement with. I also recently read to take D3 with Vit K for better absorption. I haven't double-checked that advice. I recently had a blood test which included Vit D, 25-Hydroxy, a good way to monitor.
The article recommends 600-800 IU per day supplementation. That's very low for people with PD, who have higher Vit D requirements (or so I've been told). I've been taking 5,000 IU of D3 per day and still my D levels were low on that blood test. I am doubling for a month or so; note my vitamin supplementation is with physician oversight and approval. Also recommended is sublingual for better absorption.
