There are a lot of people here who use Vitacost supplements.

Just wanted a general opinion on the quality of the supplements offered by Vitacost.

I buy B1 HCl from Vitacost now that Solgar doesn't provide B1. I'm satisfied with the company. When I look at reviews online, people seem to either love Vitacost or hate it, with little in between.

Thank you 🙏

One thing for sure, they have reasonable price and reasonable quality.

I get Doctor's Best Meriva Curcumin 120 caps for 60$ at home, while Vitacost Meriva Curcumin 120 caps for 46$ at home.

The difference is Doctor's Best labels sunflower lecithin and Vitacost labels soy lecithin , but who knows what is actually inside.

Vitacost doesn’t seem very reliable…. Vitacost Synergy B Complex is pure deception. At first glance, it may appear that natural B vitamins are being used. After all, it claims to be a 100% vegetarian supplement made from carefully selected organic and non-GMO ingredients. It actually contains added vegetables, fruits, and probiotics. However the undefined B vitamins have a chemical origin and are undoubtedly not even bioactive.

Another B-complex, Vitacost Coenzyme B-Complex, is strongly discouraged with far too high doses and otherwise if they claim, no bioactive form for B6! The toxic B6 pyridoxine amount of 80 mg in the recommended 2 capsules, poses a real risk for peripheral neuropathy and for the reduced effect of your C/L medication.

vitacost.com/vitacost-coenz...

Even worse is Vitacost Vitamin B Complex With Vitamin C where 1 capsule contains 100 mg B6 pyridoxine! Avoid!

vitacost.com/vitacost-vitam...

The multivitamins show the same unsafe levels and composition with pyridoxine as the B complexes!

I'm sorry JayPwP, but a company that uses such misleading texts, such grossly unsafe dosages with the toxic pyridoxine in a B complex deserves to be distrusted.

I find the Vitacost Mucuna pruriens to be effective.

Thank you. Do you take it plain or with green tea or something? Each capsule contains 50mg L-dopa, so what is your dosage and how long does it last?

can anyone suggest a very good B1 supplier?

I have had no major negatives with Vitacost over the years. Yes, they do offer a high B6 version, but we should all be aware of how much is too much of everything we experiment with.

I have found the VC Mucuna not as strong as the few brands I continue to use and it didn't make the cut for me, even though it is priced well.

Hi Jay, I've subscribed to ConsumerLab, who independently test the quality of supplements and report their findings.

I took DHEA as an example and Vitacost came out positive:

Hi Jay, further to my positive post and example below, here is another of their products that failed independent quality tests.

I have been generally impressed by the quality of the ConsumerLab research in its articles:
