So... I am guessing the men who requested Viagra were in better physical shape (able to perform sex), had better self esteem (had somebody that wanted to have sex with them), had more social interactions (pursuing and entertaining sexual partners), and did more high High Intensity Training (sex).

"Results from the National Institutes of Health’s Drug Repurposing for Effective Alzheimer’s Medicines (DREAM) study show that sildenafil (Viagra) and tadalafil (Cialis) may not be suitable candidates for treating dementia. These findings are contrary to similar, previously reported research from another group. In this new study, NIH researchers and collaborators used data from Medicare beneficiaries and determined the medications sildenafil and tadalafil do not reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. "

"Previous studies on different populations have come to somewhat contradictory conclusions. A Cleveland Clinic study found a significantly reduced risk of Alzheimer’s disease among those using sildenafil, said Feixiong Cheng, the director of the Cleveland Clinic Genome Center and the principal investigator of the study. But a study by researchers at Harvard Medical School and the National Institute on Aging found “no association” between the use of sildenafil, or other PDE-5 inhibitors, and the risk of Alzheimer’s disease, ..."

I think the cohort studied all had erectile dysfunction, which provides a level of control across the two groups.
