Almost 20 years on since diagnosis, how are you coping?

Did you move to Indonesia before diagnosis or after? And how are availability of parkinson's meds, neurologists and treatment in Indonesia ?

I moved to Indonesia in 2014, after my diagnosis. Sinemet CR has been difficult to find in Indonesia, mostly I use Madopar and levopar. I have only seen an Indonesian neurologist twice and both times I was pleased with the treatment advice given to me. I have no complaints about Indonesian healthcare system.

I will note that. Using BPJS? Do you have to pay for the medicine or is it covered by BPJS?

I pay for the medicine, it's not covered by BPJS.

I live between Cianjur and Bandung, there are no other foreigners here at all. The last time I saw someone who was not Indonesian was in October 2023 at Soekarno Hatta airport. Where did you move from?

I moved from Bosnia. First I was in Bali from 2019 - 2021. Then visited Jakarta in 2022 and stayed in JKT until May 2023. My wedding organizer's husband is from Birmingham and they live around here. There are few bule around here in Bekasi. I do have a plan to make a gang.

I visited Bandung once. I liked Orchid Forest. The city not that much.
