Symptoms of Carbidopa levodopa overdose?

What are the symptoms of c/l overdose? I may have accidentally taken my morning dose twice!

Don't worry. Symptoms include faster heartbeat and uncontrolled movements (dyskinesia), restlessness and discomfort. I have also experienced extremely fast speech.

Quick antidote is a protein bar or cheese.

Don't worry, I did the same thing today.

My 100/25 S+ hadn't kicked after 2.5 hours so I assumed it was 'dead' ....took another tablet and you can guess what happened after 5 minutes!

Slightly racing heart and fuzzy head but otherwise fine, I'd suggest drinking plenty of water and eating something light.

It's happening before, no biggie....

I suspect most people have done this. If worried I would eat something with a bit of protein to help counter the effects

Thanks for checking? I lived! But almost passed out at one point. I’m still not sure if i took two doses but have changed to new pill box that i set up each day with 4 sets of pills so i wont accidentally do that.

Also, if you have a caregiver, perhaps best to let them do the pill giving 💁

Thanks! I thought of that. But don’t have the $$$ for that till the bitter end. I’m still quite active and my brain works most of the time. Plus I want to stay independent as long as possible

In my experience having taken an overdosed amount of c/l has causes my dyskinesia go away completely as my dyskinesia only appears (which is 85% of my day)as I'm coming off c/l. Which and most people is opposite.

Another side effect of overdosing I get is the urge to talk a lot, express ideas, etc.

Insomnia-no more to be said here!

The worst part about accidentally overdosing is the moment when the door starts wearing off..I get majorly depressed and my dyskinesia gets intense..which eventually ends but instantly turns into a 45-60 minute full body tremor session. Ah the joys of c/l (eye roll)
