Phase 3 trial of buntanetap for early-stage Parkinson’s nears end – The last patient completed the final visit in a Phase 3 trial testing buntanetap in people with early-stage Parkinson’s disease.
I participated in the trial. I may have been given a placebo, but I didn't experience any noticeable benefit. I don't think six months is long enough to determine efficacy. It may have slowed or stopped progression, but the disease progresses so slowly that it's impossible to know.
Same question: did your symptoms get worse, or in other words, did your disease conditions progress after 6 months in the trial? If your conditions get stabilized or your progress slows down, then the drug still works imo.
My symptoms stayed the same but I started exercising religiously and got my diet in check. Strength training, five days a week and do cardio 4 to 5 times a week along with agility training. I’ve been off the drug since September 1 and my symptoms haven’t gotten worse since I’ve been off it. So I’m not sure if it was the drug or just me taking care of myself.
