Artane and hair loss?

I’ve been taking Artane for at least two years with no noticeable side effects. Over the last couple of months, I’ve noticed a significant issue with hair loss. I’m still trying to figure out what’s going on, but I asked my MDS whether Sinemet or. Artane (the two PD meds I take) could be behind it. I only take a half a pill once a day, but he said Artane could be the problem. His suggestion of eliminating it for a few weeks to see if things improved was not very useful.

Here’s my two-part question: has anyone else experienced this side effect? if you have, have you substituted a different medication or found a way to mitigate the problem? (I can’t take Amantadine, but I’m open to other ideas.)

My hair has been getting very thin in the last 6 years or so. I’m on C/L & Amantadine & Azilect. My dermatologist says it’s hereditary. My neurologist says those 3 meds shouldn’t cause hair loss or thinning.

I don’t know to do either?? 🥊
