Progress. Hope for the future.
Just treating symptoms. A lot of research money wasted!!!
A protein that recharges the mitochondria sounds like a good deal even if it only treats symptoms.
We can "recharge" mitochondria with appropriate foods and nutriceuticals with little chance of adverse effects. But no profit in that.
I do an "HIIT" workout three times a week. That's supposed to do the most for mitochondria.
Is your HITT on-line? I’m looking for some programs!

I use a treadmill and Heart Rate Monitor.
I agree. A lot of PwP stick with exercise as long as they can, but then often "hit a wall" of fatigue. An increase in mitochondrial function seems to be the very best way to keep going! It seems like every few days I read about a new supplement, food, or exercise that increases mitochondria numbers and quality (eg. if you do all the exercises but continue to eat nutrient-empty food, you won't get the best results). So, in a very real way, anything that increases mitochondrial function can help slow PD, if only because we can exercise better!
my treadmill unfortunately doesn’t have one…
You can approximate your heart rate by how fast you are breathing. If you are gulping air as fast as you can you are nearing your maximum heart rate. The old canard--220 minus age--might work but for some it's not specific enough.
