Has anyone tried cannabis to improve PD symptoms?
cannabis and PD: Has anyone tried cannabis... - Cure Parkinson's
cannabis and PD
I smoke weed on a semi-regular basis, but have never found it to help with any symptoms. If anything, it exacerbates my tremor.
Yes. It gave no symptomatic improvement
Yeah and nothing helped.....gummies were even worse
gummies are the worst for me as well. I do think that a combo tincture of CBD/thc helps somewhat. And I have actually found that smoking is a tiny bit more helpful. The goal with talking the tincture is to NOT feel high. But I think being a little buzzed seems to take an edge off on the tremor and stiffness for me.
Great for sleep!
I tried Cannabis this year for a few months under medical supervision, mainly to find relief for my lower back sciatica. I decided to stop using it due to the severe tiredness and slowness it caused me. Ultimately I can say that the experience with Cannabis was irrelevant; some relief regarding non-motor symptoms such as smell, pain, sleep but a worsening regarding motor symptoms such as slowness and tiredness. As we say in this blog: everyone is different from the other and this is my experience. It is fair to say, howevwr, that the components of Cannabis are many and the solutions that derive from them are just as many. Ad maiora
Yes. I find it completely stops the tremor - just a couple of puffs in the evening. I do use mucuna and sinemet during the day.
I use THC edibles for sleep. They mostly eliminate my PD symptoms (especially bradykinesia and rigidity that affects my left hand and forearm), but I can't use them during the day because they make me too sleepy/foggy. I've tried reducing the dose to eliminate that, but then I don't get any benefit either. I've tried smoking and vaping, but it's essentially the same problem. The very minor improvement doesn't last long, and I feel too foggy to be able to function.
