Give credit to Roche for recognizing that Parkinson's trials need more time to evaluate because the disease tends to progress quite slowly. Even though the original trial "failed" to meet it's primary endpoints, they continued evaluating it, based partially on the fact that UPDRS Part 3 (actual professional observations of motor symptoms) scores were encouraging.
