my husband just had his third seizure in two months ! CAT scan and bloodwork were all clear. He has orthostatic hypotension but this morning it was 117/75. Lasted a few seconds. He doesn’t remember it ! Neurologist thinks it’s due to low BP. Anyone else?? Thx!

ME AGAIN! SEISURE!
Levodopa medication uses up vitamin B6 and lack of vitamin B6 can cause seizures. Taking levodopa medication and not supplementing vitamin B6 makes deficiency likely. This case report is instructive - neurologists looked at many other things before considering B6: karger.com/crn/article/14/2...

Dear Park bear! I’m forwarding your response and websites to his neurologist!!! Can’t thank you enough!! I’ll post back later!! Thx so much! Take care!
Good luck. They can be a bit over sensitive and don’t like suggestions that theaten their authority.😬
If he rubbishes it I would have him tested and start him on some anyway. I would try Hardys den with added vitamers as it has a balanced amount of all vitamins and micronutrients in case something else is deficient too. Start low and build up slowly.
Hubby faints from the orthostatic hypotension…but doesn’t really seize. His eyes roll back but as long as we elevate his feet in time it clears up before a seizure comes on.
There are a few anti seizure drugs and zonisamide is being trialed as a positive med for PD. (Reduced off times and other benefits)
His Neuro proscribed lamotrigine-a different one- but he couldn’t tolerate it. (Made him psychotic-but most meds do with him)
Good luck! Sounds scary.
Could be convulsive syncope triggered by hypotension. Check EEG also a tilt table
is he on a anti seizure medication? My husband had several seizures, but once on the meds, no more.
They probably checked this but low sodium can cause seizures.
