On the low carb high fat diet I am satisfied, never feel deprived, dropped 20 lb without even trying. My BMI went from overweight to normal. Dropped my A1c from 7.5 to 5.6.

The bananas and red apples suggested at that website are forbidden. Nothing packs on the pounds like carbs and especially simple sugars. I do enjoy low sugar fruit like kiwi and red raspberries, but only along with non-carb food.

Hey park_bear,I have heard an awful lot of people talk about low carb diets (keto, etc.) My question is where do you get fiber from? I get that kiwi and raspberries are high in fiber, but a lot of people are not even eating that, and besides, you can't rely on just those two fruits. Isn't fiber really important for gut health?

Oh yes I agree. I get my fiber primarily from wheat bran. Not much carbohydrate in that and low carb is not the same as no carb.

Nice to lose weight without much effort. Hubby doesn't like raspberries - seeds get caught in between teeth! He could afford to lose 20 pounds!
