How does one know if it's working to regrow neurons in the brain, and how long does it take?
Lions Mane Supplement : How does one know... - Cure Parkinson's
Lions Mane Supplement
I posted a comment a little while ago, which I have since deleted because it turns out the studies cited were in mice, which I disregard.

That sounds pretty good: Aerobic Exercise Alters Brain Function and Structure in Parkinson's Disease: A Randomized Controlled Trial "Together with clinical results from the Park‐in‐Shape trial, 1 our results suggest that aerobic exercise stabilizes motor progression and enhances cognitive performance in individuals with PD by stimulating functional and structural plasticity in corticostriatal sensorimotor and cognitive control networks."

Randomized Controlled Trial of Community-Based Dancing to Modify Disease Progression in Parkinson Disease
"For the MDS-UPDRS-3, there was no significant change in the Control group from baseline to 12 months, whereas the Tango group had a reduction of 28.7% (12.8 points)."
If that kind of improvement came from a drug it would be worldwide headlines.
So the answer is, the Tango!
I can't bring myself to Tango - too dramatic.
There are some things worse than having PD and I think Tangoing might be one of them. 🙂
Not really a practical alternative for me either. But, I've noticed more time I spend being up and about the better.
I could tell that there was a benefit for me as I noticed that I had an easier time remembering things. I was starting to struggle with mundane things that a couple of years ago I would have had instant re-call. I seemed to notice a difference after about three weeks. Now it may just be a palcebo effect but something is working so I'm happy with that.
Do you take capsule or liquid? How much?

This study mentioned was preliminary only but did look promising.
I was only able to locate a single study that involved post treatment with lion's mane after introduction of the toxicant. In that study:
" After the first MPTP injection, the mice received HEM..."
They fail to state how long after the first injection. Was it 5 minutes, 5 hours? I bet it was not 5 days. A proper study needs to create a Parkinson's like condition first, and then apply treatment.
I take lions mane. Not sure it’s helping. Also doing Rock Steady boxing, stationary bike and brisk walking. Also sitting with my feet on a vibrating plate 10 min AM and PM—which is definitely helping my neuropathy and toe Curling.
