It also helps break down biofilms in the mouth as discussed here :

It also kills bad bacteria in the mouth as mentioned here :

And the xylitol you swallow acts as a prebiotic :

In my opinion it should be used in all chewing gum , but unfortunately it isn't.

It helps control my dry cough due to vasal neuropathy! Chew whenever you feel an attack coming on.
