Hello everybody, I’ll have a blood test soon. What do you think are the checks, in addition to the routine ones, that every pwp should necessarily do? Thank you very much.

I asked my doctor to add these to my upcoming annual physical/blood panel.

THS

HsCRP

Homocysteine

HbA1c

Ferritin, Iron, & TIBC panel

vitamin B12

Vitamin D 25, OH

wuld also add vitamin B panel, amino acid panel, Lyme titer

If you take any form of Carbidopa then you should have your B6 checked in addition to the ones Marc recommends.

Even if you don't take carbidopa (yet) I would test the B6, just like vitamin B9 folic acid

F2 Isoprostanes

Methylmalonic Acid

[B] Hair Elements Test

Item [B] is not a “blood test”, but I have included here for completeness.

A decreased zinc level appears to belong to PD. I don't know what the consequences are and whether it makes sense to test on this. Does anyone have any experiences with zinc deficiency?

yes, but I'll repeat them several times to look for "trends" (up or down) within the normal range. This assumes they stay within the reference range.
