I had hip replacement 2 1/2 years ago and after a few weeks my symptoms of PD appeared. My orthopedic doctor said my Muscles were angry, I went back one more time but same statement and no effort to help/ I want to chiropractors, acupuncturist, natural doctor and finally neurologist diagnosed me with PD 1 1/2 years ago. On C/L and trihexyphenidly for tremors. My surgery was on left hip and my tremors are on my left side.

As are all of us, I am constantly looking for alternative treatment, i would love to get off meds. Seriously looking into getting infrared treatment through Austrian company named Symbyx.

Still working as a flight attendant but flying less due to PD. I live in FL and swimming has helped! The cold bothers me greatly so stay home as much as possible in the warmth:)

Otherwise very active...yoga. biking. swim.walking. lifting and have a rower at home!

I don't know about the therapies you are asking about but I had a spinal fusion because my spinal column collapsed on my spinal cord and my tremors began after surgery so it struck a nerve because at first my neurosurgeon thought he had trapped nerves but mine started on my left side as well.. Good luck I just was wondering if this is a common occurrence..

for what it is worth, I am convinced that my Parkinson is the result of the three anaesthetics I went through because of a bladder cancer.

The symptoms started all at once after the last one : dragging foot, confusion, gait, tremor, etc.

Whatever doctors might say, I remain convinced and, finally , some specialists begin to accept that this is possible.

In late 2020 I had very painful sciatica and couldn't walk. I had carers coming in morning and night to help. It took a few months to recover. It was worse on my left side. The following year I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s, I feel there's a connection but it has never been discussed. Certainly my "muscles were angry"!I too get cold easily but it could be due to heart failure which I also have.

Can't help you with alternative to medication but found the John Coleman interview recently posted by ABAnderson very interesting.

I came out of knee replacement surgery with PD. Surgery was on my left but symptoms were on the right side.

My obvious symptoms for PD appeared after my gallbladder surgery! They say it is a trigger, but it isn’t necessarily, the actual cause of PD. Not sure what to think about that.

I have been fighting my brothers parkinson's, few herbs meds helped, what does help, breathing ozone bubbled through olive oil !!!!! Keeps my brother up, thinking and walking, two vitamin B1 , Dr from India uses 100 mg injection every three to four days, at 4 days you can see is starting decrease help, if course when taking B1 has to be better with mixed B's , I found Body builder vitamin with 35 mg B1 in pack, Dr. Claimed in 35 to 45 minutes you could see difference, I was quite surprised when in 35 minutes he could go down steps and his muscles responded and did not collapse and he was less stiff, his legs bent and back flexed when getting out of bed blessings Clark

Can you explain "breathing ozone bubbled through olive oil"?

There are many ways to get ozone into the body. Ozone can treat infections and can up-regulate the body's immune system. It can be injected although some consider that dangerous. A safer alternative is to pump ozone into a bottle of olive oil. Then inhale the fumes produced. Ozone is a strong oxidant. That makes it seem dangerous. When ozonated with oil the ozone is no longer an oxidant but still works as an anti-infective agent.

I feel strongly that one possible cause of pd is that it is triggered by trauma (physical or emotional.). I was diagnosed 7 months after suicide of my life partner, (emotional trauma) 2 friends who had pd many years before me; one was attacked and was beaten to the head, other friend suffered a difficult birth delivery. (Both physical trauma) several people have responded above about having a surgery before PD diagnosis(physical trauma) . I believe we are all born with a weakness to certain diseases and something triggers that weakness to manifest as a disease.

I am so heartened and encouraged to see these posts here. I definitely believe that trauma or some kind of severe overwhelm to the nervous system is the cause of PD onset. I did not have surgery, but I had severe COVID and then for 3 years had a LOT of repeated stress plus severe isolation. That is overload for any brain/nervous system. I'm certain that all that triggers tremors and other symptoms. Our body (which obviously includes our brain) is in overdrive. Stuck, and trying to come out of it which produces the tremors. In fact, this is what many alternative healers speak of when they say that we go into fight/flight mode, and basically have not been able to come out of it. THAT is what I think the body/mind connection is. Check out the work of John Coleman and Janice Hadlock among others. They both had PD and have been able to stop having symptoms as long as they treat themselves well, with love and kindness.

Imagine, A world that you had to treat everyone well with love and kindness or you would suffer the consequences of PD. John Lennon would have liked that.
