I've been practicing Neurology for the past 25 years. My training was strictly Allopathic Medicine primarily what ever Big Pharma tells you, don't question just do. It's the STANDARD of CARE! You're protected. My faith in this practice has slowly dewindled and when the FDA approved an absolutely worthless medicine for Alzheimers. It's not about the patient, who is someones mother, father, daughter or son. Why not try adjunctive therapies, they're safe. But everyday I'm up against resistance.

Thank you for joining us. Yes, Aduhelm was a travesty.

There are a couple of issues that urgently need to be brought to the attention of MDs treating Parkinson's:

1. Physicians who are unaware of levodopa induced dystonia and who then prescribe more levodopa to patients already suffering from it, with ensuing disaster. I wrote about this here: healthunlocked.com/cure-par...

I submitted an improved version to the Journal of Parkinson's Disease which was never published. I imagine a practicing neurologist would have better luck.

2. Misunderstandings regarding vitamin B6. I will provide the detail on this issue tomorrow if it is of Interest..

Parkinson's is the most complicated neurological disease to treat in its later stages. Patients are different from one day to another and from morning and night. I've been looking at high dose melatonin and methylene blue with red and near infrared light therapy. I've alway stressed a strenuous exercise and ketogenic type diet.

I do all of the above except high doses of Melatonin. That is because at 10 mg, I get diarrhea from it. I take 5 mg instead and hope it is beneficial. Any ideas about how to address this side effect other than stay at a lower dose of Melatonin. How much methylene blue to you recommend?

My sure its pure, No additives. take no tablets

Diarrhea is a commonplace and yet little known adverse effect of melatonin. 130 individual reports here: healingwell.com/community/d...

It can be a really nasty persistent problem because people may not consider that melatonin may be the cause.

Yes, important to consider any additives and the capsule itself. That's not said often enough. Somebody can react badly to an additive.

You can increase your melatonin naturally without side effects. I wrote about seven natural ways to do that here :

Welcome to the forum!

I've written a lot about the health benefits of high dose melatonin on this forum for PD and PD related issues such as PD, memory, cardiovascular disease, stroke and osteoporosis. Here are a few of those links :

OMG what a disaster that was. Easy solution and treatment, hands of thousands of Docs were tied. Really exposed the reality of the strength of the Medical industrial complex

Unfortunately, MONEY is the prime motivator for many people, and they lose sight of the overall picture. Has it ever occurred to you that treating health issues is far more profitable than curing them! Finding cures for health problems is not profitable unless the health issue is potentially fatal. We are all human and money is probably the most important issue for most people, not what is best for the patient.

Contrary to what Gordon Gecko said, GREED is NOT GOOD! There are a lot of great things about the pharmaceutical industry and the majority of people who work hard at making us poor suckers feel better are in it for the goodness of their hearts, but there are some greedy bastards who kill it for the rest. God help us.
