Red light therapy trial results
pleased to hear that their red light therapy proved helpful for many PD symptoms. Their device looks slightly different from the wellred one and I think slightly more expensive. From the photo it seems to shine the lights and concentrate on the back of the head.
My husband still uses his daily and it seems to help with some of the symptoms found from the trial.
do you happen to know what specific frequency of light they used?
it is available to pre order on their website. Cost is £900. The frequency used looks the same as the Wellred one, according to the info given on their website.
The results of this study are very exciting! I have been using the Wellred helmet for almost 2 years and added the nose piece about 8 months ago. Neuroprotection is imperative for PWP and aside from exercise & certain supplements there aren't a lot of tools in the toolbox. When I read the previous studies on photobiomodulation, the science made sense to me so I went for it.
I believe light therapy is a major reason my Parkinson's has not progressed. In addition, my handwriting is completely back to normal and small motor skills improved. It didn't help my tremor, which fortunately has been relatively mild, but when I started a low dose of C/L, that made a difference.
