Parkinson’s disease patients with inadequately controlled tremors are being sought for a Phase 2 clinical trial of suvecaltamide, an oral treatment candidate from Jazz Pharmaceuticals.

Is this trial only for people who are on medication? Does it have the potential to lower blood pressure?

Treatment-naïve patients (ie, those who have never tried PD medication) are excluded from participating in the study.

as expected - it seems like the medications used for essential tremor all have the tendency to lower blood pressure so then a person who has always had blood pressure in the low normal range has to deal with the side effects of the blood pressure going lower
