thank you l! Does this mean you can order the gloves now directly from Synergicmed ?
I think they first have to do the clinical trials. Maybe if you would contact them they would have some idea how long the clinical trial will last and when they might become available because the company has a web site that gives their email and you can get on a mailing list for their newsletter. The clinical trials will be done at Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, Oregon. The FDA did give approval for the company to produce the gloves. It is on their site.
My husband is a PD patient at OHSU. I can’t find any information on this upcoming clinical trial. Where is your reference for that before we contact his neurologist. Thanks!
it is not yet listed but you can email them directly at the place that makes them in Eugene and I have listed the link above
This is from their web page where you can also sign up for their emails with updates.
Health Unlocked is not letting me put their email and phone number on here but if you go to the site they have the email address and their phone number and the name of the woman who can notify you when the clinical trial is ready to begin.
According to Dr Peter Tass website med.stanford.edu/tass-lab/c...
they seem to have recently completed a sham or placebo trial on these gloves where all the participants were tested with the gloves but only half had the effective vibratory pattern and the other half had an inactive pattern.
Hopefully this trial was successful and the final one, bringing the gloves closer to FDA approval. However, it would appear that this could still take several months to achieve, in spite of these gloves being non-invasive and with minimal, if any, side effects. Initial testing with very successful results were done back in 2018 (we've all seen the videos).
How we all wish that they would make these gloves available as soon as possible.
It seems to that this would be a good option for walking or frozen feet vs other symptoms or that was what his video says, it shows a man going from wheelchair to running in a marathon
trial expected to kick off later this year. 10 months, and requires 7 onsite visits. So Results available in early 2024??
