Latest Presentation on the Gloves by Dr. Tass
So, the new ‚racing car‘ glove looks a bit like a bHaptics TactGlove 🙂😉.
Maybe the geeks at Stanford were inspired by some of the DIY glove projects. The new-generation gloves (shown at around the 47- minute mark on the video) are wireless and cost much less than the first-generation gloves which cost USD5,000 a pair. The pilot study for the new-generation gloves started a few weeks ago.
Also he mentioned an awareness of the Synergic trials but I didn't understand what stanford were doing about them.
Dr. Tass mentioned that Stanford agreed to let them proceed with the trials. This could have been a decision that was made in order to avoid a costly litigation with Synergic.
It looks more like an original glove with no wires to the controller! The glove finger straps and pods look similar. Maybe slightly less bulky. I wonder what these new "few bucks" motors are. I wouldn't be surprised if it's a 9mm exciter.
And a big caution about DIY. Also, no socks or shoes. And a "one size fits all" approach
"..no socks or shoes". yes, I noticed that, too -- and had to smile, as I just tried out some vCR socks for the first time yesterday. 😀 More on that later.
any mention of when these might be generally available?
And any mention of possible pilot studies in Europe?
I had a mail exchange with Prof. Tass 3 montns ago and told me to get back to him in Summer, but in the meantime things might have changed. He mentioned probably getting the FDA approval in 2 to 3 years. I think it would go faster.
Ciao Dior2008, sai a cosa si riferisce il Dott. Tass quando dice che le cose potrebbero essere cambiate? Stai usando i guanti anche tu?
oopss..hi Dior2008, do you know what Dott. Tass is referring to when he says things may have changed? Do you use gloves too?
Non è un problema, capisco l'italiano e lo scrivo un po' anche. I wanted to say he was not sure of the timetable neither in the USA, nor in Europe. Voleva insistare sullo fatto di stare attento
2-3 years? Unfortunately, there will be 5-6 of them... (((((((((((((((((
so these gloves have been in testing for five years…so what is the holdup with making them available?
While they are doping around, people are dying. My friend died of Parkinson’s last week. They pushed that stupid COVID vax out without testing. Clearly these gloves work for five years. They need to get off their a** and make them available. How many will die in 3 more years?
