To make syringe therapy easier for people with chronic diseases, we are working on improving syringes, pens, auto-injectors and pump systems. For this purpose, we are looking for people with Parkinson's disease to tell us how they cope with the handling of the apomorphine pens and pumps they use. We want to hear about the challenges and problems they encounter when administering the medications and how this affects their quality of life. The goal is to ultimately improve the systems. The surveys will take place by individual appointment starting now until Christmas 2022 as an online meeting. In addition, we ask you to film the next injection so that we can see the exact operation of your system. Your effort will be compensated with 80 USD or Euro. The study is explicitly not a clinical trial. No medication will be administered. You would support us very much if you participate! Feel free to contact us with any questions here.
Best, Julia

I was able to see on YouTube a video of Ever - Pharma's D - Mine Pump regarding continuous dopaminergic stimulation. Are you referring to devices of this type? Well I can't comment on the technical aspetct even if it remains a disturbing fact to keep a tube in your belly all day. From an aesthetic point of view I consider it too big an embarassing to wear. The ideal could be , if it possible, a smaller device that is easy to conceal. For someone it could be important to be able to hide their condition and not have to give too many explanations. Thank you very much
Yes, exactly, such a pump I mean. That is one among several. There are other pumps and pens that are also used for apomorphine therapy. I am interested in the experience with all these systems, especially in terms of handling.
Thank you for the feedback and your evaluation. I can understand that the pump can be perceived as disturbing and too noticeable.
