Supplements to help thiamin (B1) therapy

I recently saw my neurologist & he wants to put me on Opicapone, as my off times are getting longer, however I would rather like to give the B1 therapy another go before trying this new medication. This time with magnesium & B complex. I need to know when to take these supplements and at what dosage. Can anybody advise? I have read Daphne Bryans book & found it very helpful, but just need some information on the above.

How awful for you. I was even within 2 years on way too high a medication L/C which moreover worked less and less well. An increase seemed inevitable. Bypassing the neurologist, I had a blood test done for B vitamins which showed that B12 and B9 were too low and the B6 almost nil. This tells you if you can work with a good B complex and if any additional supplementation is needed. It reduced my L/C by 50% within a week and brought my neuropathy symptoms to a halt.

You can take them anytime of day. Some people, find magnesium helps sleep and so take it or some of it in the evening or before bed. I should take what it suggests on the packaging. Dr Costantini was quite conservative in his B complex and magnesium dosing, but if you haven’t taken either before, your levels might be low and might benefit with the dose recommended on the tubs. You might be interested in joining my Facebook group.. There’s been a lot of chat recently about adding b complex and magnesium.

Thankyou Dap1948. I have ordered magnesium malate and vitamin b complex from Biocare

I shall take these for a week then start on the B1 again.

I do not take B1 within a few hours of bedtime because if I do it interferes with my sleep.
