“AGING IS A COMPLEX PROCESSAging is a complex process that is now understood by gerontologists (aging scientists) to be driven by at least 10 key mechanisms. These include:

1. Mitochondrial dysfunction

2 . Inflammation (“Inflammaging”) and disrupted cell communication

3. Cellular senesence (“zombie” cells that secrete pro-inflammatory molecules that damage neighboring cells)

4. Protein accumulation inside and outside of cells that hinders cell functions

5. Epigenetic dysregulation (dysfunctional signaling leading to non-optimal changes in which changes are switched on or off)

6. Oxidative damage

7. Dysfunctional DNA methylation

8. Suppressed autophagy and mitophagy (the quality control process of maintaining healthy cells and mitochondria)

9. Reduced stem cell proliferation

10. Telomere shortening(And other mechanisms, like DNA damage, glycation of tissues, and more).

"When designing Longenesis, our goal was to create the world’s most comprehensive formula using science-backed ingredients proven to impact on these mechanisms of aging."

Thanks! Have you or your husband tried this or do you know anyone who has? 🥊

no I only just heard of it today so I think it is very new. It is a powder so I am not as keen on powders as they often taste bad but of it actually works it would be worth it. I mainly put the link so people can look at the ingredients as there are a couple of new ones to this site. Most of the ingredients in his other products have been discussed here.

I have tried the energenesis which I think helps me with energy but tastes so foul I cannot get it down most days.

The ultrabrain I take most days at half the dose ie 3 capsules and I do feel it helps me feel more alert, and I also give it to hubby and I’m not sure if it’s helping him or not but he is currently doing quite well.

oops, this one isn’t a powder . It’s in capsules. It was the energenesis that is in a scoop that I can’t stomach.

the last four ingredients in this product are fairly small amounts while unicaria tormentosa is cat's claw

"That one such herb is gou teng, unicaria, and has been shown to induce autophagy for alpha-synuclein at a similar rate to a drug called rapamycin. But the good news for Parkinson’s sufferers is that the herb does not have dangerous side effects like the drug."

the lutein and zeaxanthin capsule we have for eyesight has 25mg lutein and 5mg zeaxanthin. Our lithium orotate has 5 mg of lithium from lithium orotate so if this has 1 mg total that is much less lithium as the orotate is the majority of the weight in the molecule.

I haven’t heard of the the other 2 of the last 4.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fisetin

Clinical significance

Fisetin, like other polyphenols such as resveratrol, is a sirtuin-activating compound[14] and has been shown in laboratory studies to extend the life of yeast, worms, flies, and mice.[15][16] Like the other compounds, it has also been shown to be reactive in many different assays of biological activities, raising the possibility that any drug generated from fisetin would have too many side effects to be useful.[15][17]

Fisetin has shown anti-cancer activity in studies on cells and model animals conducted in laboratories, and appears to block the PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathway,[18] along with other mechanisms to induce apoptosis activation, and prevent apoptosis resistance.[19]

In lab studies fisetin has been shown to be an anti-proliferative agent, interfering with the cell cycle in several ways.[20] Like some other flavonoids, it has been found in lab studies to be a topoisomerase inhibitor, which may turn out to be a carcinogenic activity or an anti-cancer activity; further research is needed.[21]

Fisetin has been shown to be an effective senolytic agent in wild-type mice, with effects of increased lifespan, reduced senescence markers in tissues, and reduced age-related pathologies.[22] Studies of cell cultures of senescent human umbilical vein endothelial cells have shown that fisetin induces apoptosis by inhibition of the anti-apoptotic protein Bcl-xL.[23] Fisetin has roughly twice the senolytic potency as quercetin.[24] A clinical trial in the U.S. was under way as of October 2018 to show effectiveness in humans.[25]

In studies conducted on cells in a laboratory, fisetin inhibits the activity of several pro-inflammatory cytokines, including tumor necrosis factor alpha, interleukin 6, and nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB).[20] The anti-inflammatory action is due to deacylation of the pro-inflammatory transcription factor NF-κB by sirtuin 1.[26]

Fisetin has been shown in lab studies to upregulate glutathione, an endogenous antioxidant.[20][27] It has direct activity as a reducing agent, chemically reacting with reactive oxygen species to neutralize them.[27] Studies suggest that it lodges in cell membranes and prevents oxidative damage to lipids in the cell membrane.[27] Like other flavonoids, it has a planar structure, with multiple carbon rings. It scavenges free radicals as a result of its electron-donating capacity, due to the presence of two hydroxyl groups on one ring and a hydroxyl group on another.[27]

In vitro screening has identified fisetin as an antimitotic compound.[28]

Always suspicious of these “wonder” supplements when they supply a bottle of 25 and explain you need to take 6 a day….four days worth so is this every 30 days?…Fisetin should only be used in five day slots each month or two, because cellular activity needs to rebuild and most cells need a 30-60 day cycle.

I think there are 6x 25 or 150 capsules. The serving size is 6 and there are 25 servings. So that should be enough for 4 weeks and 1 extra serving.

They like you to take 6 days then have a 1 day break each week to stop anything building up too much.

I more posted it so anyone interested could look up the compounds we haven’t researched yet. I think some people are taking quite a few of the compounds in it already so sometimes it is easier to take one combination product than a multitude of separate ones if they do want to try these things. Although you can’t then judge the effect of one thing when they are combined.

For anyone interested…Dr David Sinclair is the foremost in this field…he followed on from Dr Walfords research….plenty of papers via google search.
