What your understanding of Sulbutiamine (B1 Vitamin)?

What your understanding of Sulbutiamine? Looks like just two thiamines joined together. Since supposedly good of ED, shouldn't increase BP. I probably have taken my last of TTFD. Yes, still unorthodoxed, currently just considering.

ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articl...

Since available in powder, shouldn't taste as bad as TTFD.

Why did you give up on TTFD?

I am experiencing high blood pressure, which wasn't really noticed until after I took a break. I assume it would have been same without the break.

Makes you wonder what happen to TTFD rats after the Test. Did HBP continue at an accelerated rate after and surpass the control group.

I am not finding anything on the web saying that TTFD increases BP.

Taking too high a dose of any form of thiamine can raise blood pressure

This study showed BP decreased after 6 weeks of 300 mg of Thiamine a day: pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/259...

I am not disagreeing, I just can't find anything showing BP increasing due to Thiamine.

I went to the ER last night. You would think they would have a way of bringing BP down other than just having you relax. Only benefit: in case of a stroke or a heart attack, I was at the hospital. The EKG and x-ray showed no reason for concern. When I got there, my BP was 198/95 and the highest I seen on their monitor screen was 205/105 (Both higher than I measured at home). When I got home, I noticed I had forgotten to take my afternoon 2-1/2 tab of C/L. I took 3tab this morning.

My BP was my normal high (150/85 range) this morning, but lower after taking my morning meds. But, back up to my normal high after taking a nap and at 3 hours. Hopefully soon with my added 7/1 med, it will stabilize lower than my normal high and not reach the levels of yesterday. I am thinking the High Blood Pressure is a result of taking a break (there is no mention of what happened in the above study). Maybe this is a little wishful thinking. I am at day 6 of no TTFD (see attached, note the 4days of a 1/4cap didn’t produce in a major reduction in BP).

High blood pressure can be caused by thiamine dosage being too high
