Weeding from the Roots

Someone once said,

"There comes a time in your life when you walk away from drama and people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad, and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right, pray for the ones who don't. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is a part of life, getting back up is living. Being alive is a gift, living a happy life is a choice.

Walk away from Drama, & the people who create it, is most of the time possible, Unless it is your ex & when you have children you have no chioce. To listen to his drama, you can't get away from, that was the hardest thing I ever tried to do. I tried and because if my children is was like taking the fire out of a bonefire during the summer. Yikes... do not plant trees, and the fire has no leaves to burn.

Live, Laugh, and Love ... every day is a new day and always with the chance, choice, opportunity for a new beginning! A spouse who loves & supports you, children to embrace you, grandchildren to amaze you, and friends who take walks with you (exercise, exercise, exercise) - take the drama out of life and the physical quirks of PD and other problems tend to slide into the background of life ...

You are right we don't need the drama! Everyday is a gift. To quote my sister "Everyday I wake up is a good day." God, I miss her. I would change the quote to be "Everyday I wake up and my feet hit the floor before anything else does is a good day for me". I am grateful for so many things in my life. I try to focus on the good rather than the bad, the things I can do rather than those I can't and especially for the love of my life who makes even the bad days GOOD!

Sometimes it is hard to let go of the negativity in our lives simply because we have become accustom and complacent to it. Over the years the drama, the lies, the wasted hours, days ,months trying to please the takers in our lives takes its toll and we can no longer see the damage being done. You will not believe how freeing it is to put yourself #1, to take care of your needs first and if the people and situations in your life are too draining on you, you must start to question thier place in your new garden and just start pulling weeds, making sure you get all the weed right down to the roots, and then watch your flowers bloom!
