I was wondering if anyone experienced strange sensations in their limbs. Mine has been a warm sensation along my right arm with no explanation. Several times I have started looking for something burning or hot next to me but never find a source. It has so far been only along my right arm....anyone else?
Strange Sensations?: I was wondering if... - Cure Parkinson's
Strange Sensations?
I think these sensations of varying kinds seem to come and go. One week your arm, next week your leg, can't wait for the week after for the surprise.
I often get a tingling sensation in my parky side arm/leg sometimes down the whole side - seems to be when I'm relaxing.
I get them all over and sometimes it feels like a bee sting.
I get little "pin prick" feelings in my feet. Crazy!
Yes I get the pin prick, red ants crawling up and down my legs. Plus occasionally a very warm ghost passes my right arm and I look around for the heater, etc. None there.
Hi. Parkinson's has been a life of strange sensations as my body has developed the disease. I had dbs July 5, and am decreasing meds everyday.
What you said about the heat part strikes home with me. I woke one night pounding my leg and looking for the fire just as you describe. I thought it was another symptom and suffered with it for a long time.
Not long ago I sought the help of a chiropractor who adjusted my neck. (Prior to dbs) We talked further and he adjusted my hip and I've not had a fire in my leg since.
I still get some of the numbness, but the burning in my quad is gone.
It makes me aware that we all suffer such different symptoms, relating it to PD, making it difficult to deal with.
My left arm did that for a couple of months and I still get it every once in awhile down my right leg as if I had peed myself... very freaky ! ( I really hate that). My left leg stays cold while my right arm acts like it has nothing to do with the rest these parts !
My feet sometimes feel like they don't belong to me, or that I am wearing huge flufy slippers. PT says its a propioception problem.
Only very infrequently, perhaps for a few days once or twice a year I get a warm sensation somewhere on one thigh.
