Magnesium is a given, it's the iron I'm concerned about.

That's a good link. They have a new page therootcauseprotocol.com/ that is fancier with less information.

You made me review Magnesium: Magnesium in Parkinson’s disease: an update in clinical and basic aspects ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK5...

RCP: The scientific, peer-reviewed literature from around the world — though not well known in conventional medical circles — is actually quite clear. All disease is caused by inflammation, better described as “oxidative stress” - I agree with this.

Magnesium deficiency is a problem across all forms of NDD. We need to ask why. I don't think the answer is as simple as we aren't getting enough magnesium from our diet - that's patient blaming and doesn't rise to the level of causation or everyone would have NDD. Why are some more resilient than others?

What toxin(s) in our environment is capable of depleting magnesium or blocking its activity in our body? Research is only looking at effect - while ignoring causation. Is throwing more magnesium at the problem going to fix it?

We want to reach the optimum level of all nutrients, but can we sustain this in the face of a neurodegenerative cascade? Is optimal nutrition enough to stop the cascade? Research needs to ask the right questions. I wish I had the answers.

It's one of those days 🙃
