Do lectins contribute to Parkinson’s decline?

This video addresses Parkinson’s specifically and refers to research.

As a former vegetarian , it distresses me greatly to contemplate the validity of this but he presents some compelling information.

Compelling, indeed. Boo-hoo. Ridding one's diet of lichens would be hard to do. It raises the question that while levodopa is beneficial in the short term, it may accelerate progression long term.

Same premise espoused by Sackner - Bernstein.

I have asked the Michael J Fox Foundation and the National Parkinson's Foundation the basis of the position that there is no reason to delay the start of levodopa therapy and, essentially, their answer is that it is based on experience of individual neurologist - which is not evidence.
