Good information! I also enjoyed reading the replies. So it seemed to be split in the comments about coffee being protective. I avoided coffee until I developed my dysphagia in 2012, I had no idea what had caused my neurological problems (stroke?, myasthenia?,MS?,etc) and read it could be helpful so I started drinking it.

This may sound silly; but shortly before I was diagnosed, I craved coffee. I also found coffee the only thing that gave me relief during my struggles with tremors (both internal and external), I still need a “cuppa” coffee to help me sleep.
