Daniel Montano, CEO of Zhittya Genesis Medicine recently posted that the company had obtained regulatory clearance to start a Phase I clinical trial to treat Parkinson's disease and that the growth factor, FGF-1 reversed the disease in a monkey model of PD.
I am Dr. Jack Jacobs, the Chief Science Officer of Zhittya Genesis Medicine and just want to share with you some of the exciting data we have seen in this animal model. A picture is worth a thousand words so below you can see the impressive regeneration of dopamine-secreting neurons (staining brown in the figure) after 6 months of treatment with human FGF-1. We hope we can do the same in humans!

"impressive regeneration of dopamine-secreting neurons"
If the methods and data correlate, this supports the idea of a few documented cases of PD reversals and puts to rest the faulty established idea against neurogenesis capacity.
Yes, we will share results of our clinical trials through our website at zgm.care and also in our monthly Updates which you can receive my signing up at our website. We also, when appropriate, post a summary of the results on Forums such as this one,
Hello. FGF-1 ( fibroblast growth factor) is a growth factor that can stimulate the growth of new neurons (neurogenesis). Zhittya just completed its first human study that included both heathy volunteers and patients with Parkinson's disease and reported promising results. Go to the company's website zgm.care to learn more.
Hi, Dr Jacobs. I just saw the video concerning Parkinson's Disease clinical test. I believe that it said that you had 8 human test subjects but that only two agreed to interviews? Can you say more about them? What their results were, without mentioning names? Thanks!
Most of the videos I've found are 3 years out of date. I don't think everything went according to the plan they had then (I believe that FDA required more animal testing). But a few more recent videos and posts by Dr Jacobs here have given a little hope of things to come. I do wish that someone at ZGM would do a little bit better at getting their current status out to us!
I just found this on their site. It appears to be almost up-to-date:"Zhittya filed an IND with the USA FDA for the treatment of Parkinson's Disease in 2019 Feedback from the FDA was generally positive, but the agency requested an additional animal toxicity study, as this was the first time Zhittya's drug was being evaluated for a central nervous system disorder. The animal trial Zhittya proposed to the FDA has been accepted and after completion of that study Zhittya Genesis Medicine believes it will be on track to start its Phase I study in 2022."
