Is it enough? I am taking 25/100 starting at 6:00 am and ending at 10:00 pm. I take a 25/100 with 10:00 pills

Hourly, every two hours, three hours? I read where it says one tablet is not beneficial in a single dose.

I think it depends what your needs are whether one tablet is beneficial. I take three doses a day. One is 25/100 while they other two doses are 12.5/50.

Like Dap1948, I take c/l 25/100: half tablet a.m., one tablet early afternoon, half tablet evening. I hope I'll be able to go on with this dose for as long as possible.

Since it’s IR how do you plan your mealtimes?

in reply toLionore

One hour after taking medicine. One hour to eat. That leaves two hours for food to clear stomach. Four hour schedule.

I still only take 3 sinemet pills a day as I have done for the past 10 years. I think we are all just different, that’s all.

What supplements do you take?Does sinemet have any side effects? I have no problem sleeping and don't want that to change What do you think helps the tremors? Do you have any freezing episodes? What CBD oil do you use and where do you get it

Thanks for your help

I take two c/l 25/100 every 3 hrs. Sometimes 3 half, 2hrs, and then 1 50/200 slow release at night and lately one 25/100 to knock tremor down so I can fall asleep quicker, My times are not set, my dopamine only last about 3hrs, sometimes I get dyskinesia. I'll lower my dose for a bit through out the day, go back up to two pills,, which works best for alleviating tremors.

If my math is correct Roy, you are taking 12 tablets of 25/100 Sinemet or 1200 mg of L-dopa per day. I'm in my 11th year diagnosed Aug 2010. I'm taking 200 mg every 3 hours or 1600 mg daily. Yes long term Sinemet use may bring on medication induced dyskenesia. My dyskenesia I would classify as more than moderate but less than severe. I've always had a good response to Sinemet.I'm in the Gait and Balance group. I must use a walker wherever i go. I risk falling without it. As my Neuro once said - Jim you're not 20 yrs old anymore. If you fall and break a leg or a hip it could be the beginning of the end.

Take care Roy, be safe and keep moving.
