I'm 60 yo diagnosed with PD 10 years ago I can honestly say my symptoms have not changed much recently diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder and have infrequent moments where I forget how to swollow is it PD GAD or just age related usually only last a few seconds and if I think about it it gets worse I have to not think about it and go on auto pilot to swollow if that makes sense, I take 50/100 of Sinemet 3 times daily and 300mg of Wellbutrin XL a super B complex, vit D ,co q 10, left side tremors are my only symptom which has not changed in severity . Anyone else have the swollowing problem?

Yes I understand swallowing --and your right you have to change your thought or gets worse (which hard because you can't breath and or you will throwing up.

I have had swallowing issues for years. Don't remember when it started, but it predates my PD diagnosis which was 2yrs ago after 2 years of misdiagnosis (I'm 65). I don't know if my swallowing problem is from PD or is familial (my sister has swallowing issues also). Go see a speech therapist. They can do a barium swallow test to see where the problem is and give you exercises to do.

High dose B1 solved my swallowing problem a couple years ago and it hasn’t come back. I take 1500-2000 MG daily with breaks.
