Grafting neurons grown from monkeys’ own cells into their brains relieved the debilitating movement and depression symptoms associated with Parkinson’s disease, researchers at the University of Wisconsin–Madison reported today.

It sounds interesting. And promising. What I find frustrating is that it appears in a bubble. To read it you might never know of Jean Loring, Kyoto, Melbourne or the transeuro trial.

But let's hope this moves us further on to a taster effective implementation

This is very exciting and seems similar to the research that is being done by Aspen Neuroscience (video posted recently). It sounds like the next step is some form of human trials. Keeping my fingers crossed!
