The good news here is that the cells have potential to be mass-produced AND they may help patients in the later stages of Parkinson's. If they get this right, it will be life-changing for some Parkinson's patients. My question is how do we help ensure that this research proceeds?

This is a million dollars question. Most of such research works get discontinued due to lack of funds, lack of interest

they are still doing clinical trials and my husband is in one of them and I think that possibly some preliminary results might be coming in the not too distant future
