Has anyone taken Madopar instead of Sinemet and if so have you had any unpleasant side effects. Is it effective?

Il sinemet non ha apportato alcun miglioramento, il madopar sì. Ma da subito mi ha provocato discinesie e fluttuazioni

I started on sinamet then moved to madapor when I changed neuros. Couldn’t tell the difference really. They both seem to work for me.My neurologist said the reason he used M and not S was as M can be broken into quarters, which I started on many years ago.

I had G I side effects from Sinemet, and switched to Madopar (Actually Prolopa, which is the Canadian version)) and I am now on a high dose, with no side effects at all.

And I take no supplements.

Good luck!

Madopar works well but for me, it does like an empty stomach

Works well for me, been on it for 7 years, only issue is mild dyskinesia which would happen with any levodopa medication.
