Can anyone recommend a practitioner in Los Angeles area? I am eager...desperate... to try it but do want guidance by a professional.

If I have to do it myself, which form of thiamine is best? And what dosage? (I am male ~ 230 lbs)

Doubt very much you will find a professional that knows anything about it, let alone guide you. You'll have to experiment on your own I'm afraid. Go to highdosethiamine.org for a comprehensive guide to get started. A lot of folk use vitacost thiamine capsules...buy directly from their website. Also a FB page called Parkinsons Thiamine HCL with loads of info. Good luck
